Dr. Mike Mtika
Founder and Director of Field Ops
Dr. Mtika is Pamoza’s visionary and founder. Originally from Malawi, he specializes in issues of HIV/AIDS, sustainable development, agriculture, and community empowerment. He has a PhD in Sociology and worked for World Vision in Malawi before migrating to the U.S.
Temwa Wright
Executive Director
Temwa Wright, born in Malawi and raised in the U.S., is passionate about fostering cross-cultural connections to address poverty. Since becoming Pamoza’s Executive Director in 2013, she has grown Pamoza from a staff of 1 in Malawi to over 35 full-time Malawian employees and has more than quadrupled the organization’s revenue.
Thomas Zgambo
Programs Manager
Thomas, originally from Zowe, where Pamoza began its work, was one of its first program beneficiaries. Through a Pamoza scholarship, he attended high school and college, earning a bachelor’s in Agricultural Engineering and a master’s in Theology. He first joined Pamoza in 2022 as a monitoring and evaluation officer and then was promoted to Programs Manager in 2024.
